Read here and discover an alternative cooking method; in this case spaghetti are used, but it applies to all shapes! Prepare the desired amount of spaghetti and fill a pot with plenty of water, at least 1L of water per 100g of pasta. Bring the water to the boil, add salt first and then add the pasta. When the water starts boiling again, let the pasta cook for 1 minute, then turn off the heat and cover the pot with a dishcloth, wrapping the sides well too, and place the lid on the pot. Wait 7/8 minutes depending on how cooked you like your pasta (recommended cooking time for spaghetti) and then drain the pasta, making sure you always keep a little of the cooking water in case you need it after adding the sauce. Et voilà!
